Our History
New Jersey Hematology Oncology Associates (NJHOA) was founded in Brick, NJ by Dr. Girish Amin in 1996. As our practice grew there was a need for another associate, Dr. Jayne Pavlak-Schenk joined the practice in 2000. NJHOA expanded its practice to Southern Ocean County and in 2005 they opened an additional office in Toms River, NJ. Dr. Apurv Agrawal joined NJHOA in 2011. We were excited to have local Oncologist Dr. Randi Katz join our practice in 2017. Currently, all of our physicians have admitting and consulting privileges at: Ocean Medical Center, Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Community Medical Center, and Monmouth Medical Center - Southern Campus.
The goal of our practice is to provide high quality, evidence based, compassionate care to all our patients. We place a great deal of value in communication. All of our providers work diligently to coordinate care between patients, their families, and their other medical providers. We strive to educate our patients on their illness, and work with them as a team to design an individualized treatment plan that not only includes the latest evidence based treatment guidelines, but also remains consistent with their goals of care. We treat all of our patients with the highest degree of respect and aim to provide complete patient satisfaction.
We provide a broad range of services including inpatient/outpatient consultation, second opinions, infusion therapy, medically integrated dispensary, and access to ongoing clinical trials.
